Cozy Horse Riding Outfit for Fall

Fall is my favorite time of year to ride- especially when I get to wear all of my favorite cozy riding outfits! In this post I’m pulling together a few of my most loved pieces for a riding outfit that’s right on point for a crisp fall day. And even if your ride doesn’t quite go as planned, at least you can look cute in and out of the saddle! In fact, you may not be in too much of a hurry to change out of this outfit once you leave the barn!

    1.  Ariat Lowell 2.0 1/4 Zip Baselayer

The Ariat Lowell quarter zip is a foundation piece in my riding wardrobe. It comes in so many colors and some really fun prints. It’s also the perfect weight for layering. Ariat Lowell 2.0

    2. HORZE Womens Knitted Pom Pom Hat

There are so many things to love about this hat! First, it’s super soft and the neutral color goes with everything. The pearl beads add just enough feminine detail without being overdone. I also like the detachable pom pom. It’s great for covering up my helmet hair after my ride! Horze Knitted Pom Pom Hat.

    3. Shires Aubrion Cannon Insulated Vest

A fall riding outfit would not be complete without a wam vest. This one from Shires is a favorite of mine because it’s nice and warm without being too bulky. The cut of the arm holes and the stretch side panels make it very comfortable to ride in. Shires Insulated Vest

    4. C4 Horse on the L O O S E – Burgundy Jumper Belt

I love C4 Belts! In addition to being customizable for the perfect fit, there are so many cute patterns to choose from. I always have a such hard time deciding which one to get! The jumper pattern with the deep burgundy color made it easy for me to choose this one for my fall riding outfits. Horse on the LOOSE C4 Belt

    5. Kerrits 3-Season Tailored Knee Patch Breech

My favorite everyday breeches are all from Kerrits! I’ve had really good luck finding a consistent fit with this brand and I really like the quality of their fabrics. They are so comfortable to ride in! As if that weren’t enough, did I mention the color yet? This pair in Mahogany is my most loved breech for fall. Kerrits 3-Season Tailored Knee Patch Breech

    6.Roeckl Roeck-Grip Glove

These gloves are perfect for close contact with a flexible fit and great grip. They are made to last and are so comfortable! If you need a little more warmth going into winter, they also make a thicker, lined version. Roeckl Roeck-Grip Glove

    7. Ovation Merino Wool Boot Sock

I may be a little bit obsessed with riding socks. These are pretty basic looking compared to some of my other pairs, but they make up for it with their lightweight warmth. The wool wicks away moisture, keeping my feet toasty and dry. The heel and arch areas also have some nice cushioning support. Ovation Merino Wool Boot Sock

    8. Dubarry Galway Country Boot – Walnut

I saved the best for last!! These are my favorite fall boots. Dubarry Galway boots have classic equestrian style with a durability made to stand up to the demands of real life with horses. They are lined and waterproof and can take on tough terrain. Don’t let the beautiful leather fool you- it can stand up to the elements and just needs a light cleaning to look as good as new – even after a fall day tromping around in a muddy pasture! Happy Fall Riding!

Now that I have my outfit planned, I can’t wait for my lesson this week! I’m enjoying the cooler air and that little extra energy in my ride that comes with it. Happy Fall Riding!
